Our SUP Pup workshops teach you essential skills for paddleboarding safely with your dog, no matter their experience level!

Together, we’ll build your confidence for amazing SUP adventures with your four-legged companion!

I am in no way a Stand-up paddleboarding expert, I work with a variety of paddle sports leaders and trainers with whom these training days are coordinated so that sessions are tailored to improve both your confidence and your dogs.

Sup Pup - Land Seals

-Group sessions

These are designed for dog owners who already have some experience with Sup and would like to introduce their dog to the board.

Sup Instruction will be covered on land covering safety, terminology, and technique.
Then we will warm up your dog with some training exercises to build their confidence and relationship with your board.
Land Seals sessions cover canine conditioning training required to enjoy days on the water with your dog .

We will teach you the tips and tricks to be able to paddle safely and confidently together & cover different scenarios to help prepare you for all your future adventures together.

A short guided group paddle will be organized, tailored to the abilities of the participants, this will be relatively close to the shoreline at all times.

Sea Dawg sessions are a great progression from Land Seal sessions as more time is spent out on the water developing skills further.

Join me and a Certified Paddleboard Instructor as we inspire you and provide expert tips to improve your paddling skills .
Sea Dawgs Workshops ensure your dog feels safe while you learn to adapt your technique for paddling together .
You will address both you and your dogs training needs to develop and strengthen your bond to make every outing on the water enjoyable for both of you.

Build your confidence for amazing SUP adventures together with your dog!

At this class, I talk you through all the essentials of water safety and skills as we practice together until you and your dog feel confident in the water.

A paddling distance and duration is tailored to the experience level of the group.

➤ Must have own equipment (no hire available) and basic SUP skill level to self rescue unaided.
(Canine buoyancy aids can be provided with prior arrangement )

Canine Paddlesports is a Scottish Dog Training business offering paddlesport experiences and training specifically designed for dogs and their humans. We provide Training, tours, education, and more, all with a focus on safety and fun.

Not at all! We welcome beginners and provide lessons tailored to all skill levels. Our experienced instructors will guide you and your dog through the basics to prepare you for adventures on the water.

It is not mandatory for your dog to a confident swimmer. We provide canine life jackets for added safety, and our sessions are designed to build your dog’s confidence on the board.

Most importantly bring your dog , a Lead , Lots of Tasty Treats & a Positive attitude.
Bring a packed lunch for you and your dog to refuel.
I strongly recommend bringing a wetsuit if you have one.
Equipment checklists will be issued before your booking for private lessons and sup pup groups.

We welcome dogs of all breeds, sizes, and experience levels.
However, if your dog is nervous or has specific behavioral concerns, a one-to-one lesson may be best suited to introduce your dog to paddlesports. We can provide guidance and training to be able to progress into the group sessions.
Limitations apply to Brachaphelic breeds & dogs with disabilities, medical conditions or injuries.

Safety is our top priority. Our equipment is dog-friendly, and our instructors are trained in canine water safety. Every session includes a safety briefing to ensure a secure experience for you and your pet.

Yes, you can! However, please let us know in advance so we can ensure the right setup and equipment. For larger groups, we recommend a private session.

We operate on various calm and scenic waterways in and around Scotland. The specific location will be confirmed when you book, based on conditions and availability.

Warm dry Clothing to change into and Clothing suitable for entering the water to around waist height for our beginner's workshops.
Bring a towel, some water for you and your dog, and any personal items like sunscreen. Don’t forget your dog’s favourite treats for encouragement!
