One to One

Pre-session consultation and each session is tailored to you and your dog's needs and goals.

These are ideal for owners or dogs who would benefit more from individual attention rather than in a group.
If you would like to train at a specific location, this is the best option to choose.

One-to-one training to get your dog water-ready.

I’ll be there every step of the way, ensuring your dog feels safe and comfortable.
You’ll learn the adaptations needed when paddling to meet your dog’s needs, strengthen your bond, and make every outing on the water enjoyable for both of you.

Options :

1.5 Hr Session

Session Covers any training needs identified.
This can be anything from confidence building, conditioning training or working on environment desensitization. 
Booking Multiple short sessions can be a great way to train at your own pace with an experienced canine paddle sports instructor there to guide you at every stage.

Full Day Intensive

Learn everything you need to know to make sure that you dog has best time on the water when they are by your side .

This option is popular for experienced paddlers who would like support introducing their dog to their hobby for the first time. 

However just as well suited for the passionate beginner looking for help to choose a vessel that is best suited for both you and guidance on how to prepare your dog to join you safely and confidently.

Canine Paddlesports is a Scottish Dog Training business offering paddlesport experiences and training specifically designed for dogs and their humans. We provide Training, tours, education, and more, all with a focus on safety and fun.

Not at all! We welcome beginners and provide lessons tailored to all skill levels. Our experienced instructors will guide you and your dog through the basics to prepare you for adventures on the water.

It is not mandatory for your dog to a confident swimmer. We provide canine life jackets for added safety, and our sessions are designed to build your dog’s confidence on the board.

Most importantly bring your dog , a Lead , Lots of Tasty Treats & a Positive attitude.
Bring a packed lunch for you and your dog to refuel.
I strongly recommend bringing a wetsuit if you have one.
Equipment checklists will be issued before your booking for private lessons and sup pup groups.

We welcome dogs of all breeds, sizes, and experience levels.
However, if your dog is nervous or has specific behavioral concerns, a one-to-one lesson may be best suited to introduce your dog to paddlesports. We can provide guidance and training to be able to progress into the group sessions.
Limitations apply to Brachaphelic breeds & dogs with disabilities, medical conditions or injuries.

Safety is our top priority. Our equipment is dog-friendly, and our instructors are trained in canine water safety. Every session includes a safety briefing to ensure a secure experience for you and your pet.

Yes, you can! However, please let us know in advance so we can ensure the right setup and equipment. For larger groups, we recommend a private session.

We operate on various calm and scenic waterways in and around Scotland. The specific location will be confirmed when you book, based on conditions and availability.

Warm dry Clothing to change into and Clothing suitable for entering the water to around waist height for our beginner's workshops.
Bring a towel, some water for you and your dog, and any personal items like sunscreen. Don’t forget your dog’s favourite treats for encouragement!
